Hey!
I’m a ceramicist based in Vienna, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about creative work. My journey actually began as a carpenter — originally, I wanted to build furniture. But, as life often has its own plans (with a little help from clay), I eventually found myself on a different path. Even during my carpentry training, the workshop was my absolute favorite place, and getting up early didn’t feel so hard anymore — even as a teenager, and that’s saying something!
After completing my training as a journeyman carpenter, I had planned to continue in interior design. But then came a major realization: wood is beautiful — but clay? That’s true love. So, I dedicated myself fully to ceramics. Perhaps my father’s profession had some influence on me too, as he was a ceramicist as well.
His work fascinated me from an early age, and even while I was still in training, I started mixing my own glazes and creating my first wobbly but proud pottery pieces.
I completed my training as a certified ceramicist at a vocational school, where I also earned qualifications as a stove builder and tile setter.
Alongside school, I gained hands-on experience in our family business and had the opportunity to further develop my own artistic style.
Not long after graduating, I decided to take the leap into self-employment. And here I am — full of passion, with a master craftsman’s diploma in ceramics, and an endless enthusiasm for clay and creative expression.
For me, there’s nothing more fulfilling than bringing clay to life and sharing my ideas with others.
